A MEETING will be held next week for Pembrokeshire businesses concerned at the levels of business rates.

Pembrokeshire Tourism is organising the meeting in response to what it said was the publication of business rates increases that "many insist unfairly penalise their businesses."

The open meeting will be held at 11am at the Pavilion, Withybush Showground on Friday 20th January.

Pembrokeshire Tourism said: "The meeting is being organised by Pembrokeshire Tourism Ltd in response to a large number of concerns raised by tourism operators across the county and a panel consisting of Member Paul Davies AM, Brian Jones from the Swansea Valuation Office and Kerry MacDermott, Head of Housing and Revenue Services at Pembrokeshire County Council will answer questions.

"The meeting will be chaired by Anthony Kirkbride from the South Wales Chamber of Commerce."

Any Pembrokeshire business owners affected by the rates increase are encouraged to attend the meeting so that they may take the opportunity to discuss their concern and receive important information.
