Dyfed-Powys Police officers have responded to an incident involving an air weapon that left a pupil injured at Pembroke School today (Tuesday).
A pupil was struck to the face by a BB and taken to hospital.
A spokesman for Pembrokeshire County Council, said: "A Year 11 pupil at Pembroke School brought a BB gun – an airgun firing lightweight pellets - into school earlier today (Tuesday) and fired a pellet across the PE changing room.
"It struck another pupil in the face causing what appeared to be superficial injuries.
"Staff at the school called the police and co-operated in tracking down the offender and recovering the weapon.
"The injured pupil was taken to hospital for examination."
A spokesman for Dyfed-Powys Police, said: "Dyfed-Powys Police officers were called to attend to an incident involving a suspected airgun at Pembroke Comprehensive School at approximately 12.30pm on Tuesday, March 21.
"A boy suffered a facial injury and was conveyed to hospital for treatment by his parent.
"The boy responsible is assisting police with their investigation."
