A Cardigan mother is desperate to track down a Good Samaritan who helped save her nephew’s life last Friday, March 24.

Ceri Ann Knapp’s one-year old-nephew, Logan, stopped breathing while on a walk with his grandparents near Dale Sailing at Neyland Marina.

The tot had had a slight cold earlier on in the day. During the walk his temperature rose and he suffered from febrile convulsions, at which point his breathing stopped.

Ceri Ann, from Cardigan, and her family are searching for a woman who took Logan so that his grandmother could call 999.

She then held the tot until an ambulance arrived, reassuring him and moving him into the shade to bring his temperature down.

The woman had short blonde bobbed hair and is in her 40s, she was wearing a navy blue body warmer, jeans and sun glasses. She spoke with a Pembrokeshire accent and was walking a terrier dog.

Logan spent the weekend in Glangwilli hospital but is now at home and getting better.

Ceri Ann and Logan’s mother, Gemma, were at their Nan’s funeral when the incident happened.

“We really want to find her,” said Ceri Ann. “We want to give her a bunch of flowers. She really helped a lot. We want to say thank you for helping save Logan’s life.

“My mum still hasn’t got over it. It scared her seeing her grand-baby in that state. She also had my four-month-old baby with her when it happened.

“This lovely, kind-hearted lady was amazing. My mum, myself and my sister would like to say a massive thank you to this lady, whoever you may be.”

Logan’s mother Gemma Knapp added: “I can’t thank her enough for what she did. There’s not enough words to say how I want to say thank you.”
