PUPILS, family members and staff of Pembroke’s Golden Grove School-Ysgol Gelli Aur celebrated Easter at the end of term with an Easter Bonnet Parade and a fundraising Easter Bingo Session.
The standard of the bonnets was very high and judges worked hard to award the winning entries. The bingo event was very well attended and raised much-needed funds for the upgrade of the school hall audio visual equipment.
Earlier in the week there was a celebration of attendance. Seventy eight pupils achieved 100 per cent attendance at school over the term. The whole school attendance is 96 per cent. For achieving the 100 per cent attendance two pupils were drawn as winners of a £10 voucher.
Head Teacher Andy Williams said: “We have had an opportunity to reflect on the celebrations of Easter and of personal achievements. The bingo evening was a great opportunity for parents and families to show their continued support for the school and the funds raised are very much appreciated.”
