The second cruise ship of the season due to dock at Fishguard Harbour has cancelled her visit due to the wild weather forecast for today (Monday).
The German Aidavita, along with 1,200 passengers and 426 crew was due to anchor off Fishguard this morning.
The Fishguard Friendly Faces team were all set to welcome their visitors, wearing bespoke gilets and handing out welcome bags.
However a spokesman for Fishguard Bay Welcome said that the visit had been cancelled.
“Due to the adverse weather conditions forecast for tomorrow the Aidavita has unfortunately cancelled her visit with us,” said the spokesman.
“It is very disappointing but we look forward to welcoming her back later in the season.”
A floating pontoon at Fishguard, installed to allow larger vessels to anchor with the support of Welsh Government Tourism Investment Support Scheme, has seen cruise ship visits to Fishguard increase from five in 2015 to 29 this year.
