The main road into Pembrokeshire has re-opened following a two-vehicle crash earlier this morning.

Two people have been taken to hospital after the collision between a black Volvo car and a white Toyota car.

Traffic was diverted via Narberth off the A40 at Penblewin after the accident on the stretch of road between the roundabout and Redstone Cross.

Police were alerted to the incident at 8.22am and are currently at the scene.

A Welsh Ambulance Services spokesman said: "We sent two crews in emergency ambulances and two patients were taken to Withybush General Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries."

The road has since re-opened although traffic is reported to still be heavy.
