AN INJURED climber was airlifted to hospital on Saturday, May 27, from Saddle Head, Castlemartin.
Gareth Jones, Station Officer in charge of St Govans Coastguard Rescue Team in Bosherston said: “At 13:41 on Saturday 27th May St Govans Coastguard rescue team was asked to assist in the rescue of a man climbing at Saddle Head on the East Range of Castlemartin Ranges off St Govan's Head.
“With the assistance of Tenby Coastguard Rescue Team, Coastguard Rescue Helicopter 187 - St Athan, and Welsh Ambulance Service personnel, the man was airlifted to Morriston Hospital having sustained ankle injuries.
“Once the patient was safely away Milford Haven Coastguard Operations Centre stood both teams of volunteers down and they returned to station.”
