Founders' Week

A RANGE of events will take place throughout Milford Haven next week, starting with Founders' Day on Saturday, June 10.

Next up will be a 'hymns and Pimms' event on Sunday, June 11, at St Katharine and St. Peter's Church, from 2-4pm.

Locally made arts and crafts will be on display at the church from 10am until 4pm, daily from Monday.

The Made in Milford exhibition will highlight creations by students at local classes, artisans who live in the town and those who enjoy crafting for their own pleasure.

There will also be daily free workshops, sponsored by Flowers and Favours, Inhouse Crafts and My Little Treasures.

Come along at 1.30pm on Monday, Wednesday and Friday, or at 11am on Tuesday and Thursday to join in.

Showing how the town can provide everything from hen night to honeymoon, a wedding showcase will be hosted by Flowers and Favours and Celebrations Bridalwear from 10am on Monday.

The day closes with Bingo at the Pill Social Centre. Doors open at 7pm with eyes down for 8pm.

Tuesday offers another Made in Milford workshop, with late night opening until 6pm, and at 7pm Milford Haven Town Band will entertain with a concert at the Memorial Gardens.

If the sun doesn't shine, an alternative venue will be provided.

A quiz night will liven up Thursday evening, 7pm at the Pill Social Centre.

On Friday, children can learn how to look after their pets at a free class, run by All Pets Vet Care, on the Marina.

Youngsters aged five and above can take part, classes starting at 3.30pm and 4.30pm, no need to book.

The grand finale will be a Civic Service for Milford Haven's newly appointed mayor, Cllr Colin Sharp.

Taking place at 5pm at St Katharine and St Peter's Church, it will be a fine and fitting end to a full week of local activities.
