AS Pembroke paid tribute on Saturday, June 10, to one of its most famous sons, Pembroke Castle-born Henry Tudor, the castle also saw a group of four-legged friends going down a storm.
While crowds and dignitaries gathered for the long-awaited unveiling of an eight-foot high bronze Henry VII statue in the shadow of the castle, created by sculptor Harriet Addeyman, the castle itself saw plenty of adorable Corgis from the Welsh Corgi League delight the crowds.
The charming Corgis had plenty to keep everyone entertained, as the pedigree pets were put through their paces with sausage races, relay races, agility demonstrations, and even a grand Corgi Walk around the castle walls, all ending in a high tea picnic on the grass.
