MORE than 500 flowering plants now brighten up the entrance to Milford Haven, thanks to a group of junior gardeners.

More than 25 Beaver Cub Scouts, Brownies and Girl Guides, plus group leaders and parents, turned up in the rain to plant the flowers on a piece of land by the traffic lights in Steynton.

The rain and mud did not deter the enthusiasm of the children who got soaking wet and covered in mud.

The Rotary Club of Milford Haven, which took over ownership of the piece of land recently, would like to express their gratitude to the young scouting groups and their leaders of the tremendous job they have done.
