A CHURCH full of local crafts went on show to the public last week, for the first ever Made in Milford exhibition.

Organised as part of Founders' Week celebrations, the event was designed to showcase the immense talent of local crafters and makers, many of whom have been secretly nursing their creativity behind closed doors for years.

This was a chance for them to show off their skills to a wider audience, as well as make new contacts and friends, and learn new skills at a range of workshops.

From knitting and crochet to rope-art, card-making, candle-making, dressmaking and more, the exhibition was a feast for the senses.

In addition, the event also raised £750 for St Katharine and St Peter's Church, which provided a beautiful venue for the week.

Said organiser Lynne Turner: "When setting up this exhibition, it was very important to me to make it a real community event.

"I would like to say extend my thanks to everyone who came along to support the first of what I hope will be many similar occasions.

"My thanks go to Milford Haven town council clerk Moyra Galliford, town secretary Fiona Galliford, Cllrs Clare Williams, Terry Davies, Rhys Sinnett, William Elliott, Yvonne Southwell, Viv Stoddart, and of course, the Mayor Colin Sharp."
