Emergency services have dealt with a multi-vehicle crash on the A40 between Slebech and Clerkenhill.

The A40 was closed and diversions put in place for several hours.

The road re-opened at 3pm.

Police had earlier warned motorists to expect delays.


Mid and West Wales Fire and Rescue Service said three crews - two from Haverfordwest and one from Narberth -  have been sent to the scene.

The initial call was made to the fire service at 12.20pm.

Originally five vehicles were reported to have been involved in the incident but police later clarified that it was three cars.


Police, ambulance and air ambulance were called to the scene.

The Welsh Ambulance Service said it was called at 12.18.

Two ambulances and a rapid response unit attended.

A spokesman for Wales Air Ambulance said: "I can confirm that Wales Air Ambulance responded to an incident today in the Slebech area.

"We were mobile at 12.20pm, arriving at scene at 12.39.

"We were clear from the scene at 13.55, and did not convey the patient to hospital. The patient was conveyed by land ambulance."

There is currently no detail on injuries.
