A 27-YEAR-old man has been charged with assaulting a police officer following a late night dip in the river in Haverfordwest.
On Sunday, June 25, at 12.45am, police, ambulance, and fire crews from Haverfordwest, Milford Haven and Carmarthen were called following reports of a man in the water.
The man emerged from the river under his own steam, but a fire service safety vessel was on hand in case extra help was needed.
He did not sustain any injuries during the incident.
The man was arrested and later charged with a public order offence and assault of a police officer.
He will appear at Haverfordwest Magistrates Court in July.
