A CALF in trouble in the sea near St Ishmaels received a rescue tow from Angle RNLI’S inshore lifeboat on Sunday evening, July 16.
The inshore lifeboat was launched at 7.34pm, following a report of a farmer, who was believed to be in the water attempting to rescue a calf, near Watch House Point.
When the lifeboat arrived on scene the farmer and calf were on the water’s edge.
It was decided to secure the calf alongside the lifeboat and, with the farmer on board, the lifeboat preceded to nearby Monk Bay where they were both landed safe ashore.
The lifeboat was released and returned to station at 8.30pm.
