A large group has been inspired to take on the challenge of next weekend’s Tenby 10k in support of an important local charity.

Declan Lynch hopes to raise £2,000 for Paul Sartori Foundation Hospice Care in memory of his mother Ellen, who died in November 2016 following a battle with cancer.

Declan said: “One promise I made to her was that I would get fit and raise money for the charities that gave us as a family invaluable support and equipment to make Mum as comfortable as possible; one of these being the Paul Sartori Foundation.”

The charity offers hospice at home services to people living with life-limiting illness, and Declan will be part of a group of 25 running to raise funds for their work on Sunday, July 30.

Declan added: “Doing whatever little I can to help will enable anyone going through tough times to have the same support that we received.

“If you are able to donate to this incredible charity, it is much appreciated.”
