A WOMAN has been arrested after allegedly headbutting another woman at a popular children's play centre.

The incident happened at The Lion's Den play indoor soft play centre at Snowdrop Lane, Haverfordwest on Saturday.

Witnesses said an argument broke out between two women. One stood up and is understood to have headbutted the other.

Police were called and a woman arrested and witness statements taken.

A spokesman for Dyfed-Powys Police, told the Western Telegraph this morning (Monday): “Police were called just before 1pm on Saturday 22nd July 2017, to a property in Snowdrop Lane, Haverfordwest to a report of an altercation .

"A 27 year old female was arrested on suspicion of common assault and later released under investigation.”

Following the incident, The Lion's Den posted the following statement on Facebook: "We would like to apologise to all of our customers who witnessed a particularly distressing incident. Two female customers had a disagreement which resulted in one of them being head butted by the other.

"This type of behaviour is appalling at any time anywhere but particularly distressing during a children's party at a children's play centre.

"We would like to praise the staff that were present for taking the appropriate action and dealing with the matter in a timely and professional manner. Police attended the centre and one female was arrested. This particular individual has been banned from the premises.

"We have never experienced this level of violence and we hope that our customers feel safe and secure whilst on our premises. We have 24hr CCTV which captured the incident and we are working closely with the police.

"This type of behaviour is unacceptable and will not be tolerated at any time."
