Pembroke County Cricket Club fixtures for Saturday, August 19:

Division 1 (1.30pm):

Cresselly v Kilgetty

Cresselly go in 24 points off leaders Carew, and nothing but a win will do to take matters down to the final day, when they face their arch rivals.

On current form, they should get it here against a Kilgetty side hanging on just a place above the drop zone.

The toss will be interesting. The hosts need to push for outright victory, so whether they opt to bat first in an attempt to get all 30, will be interesting.

Kilgetty meanwhile, have not passed 150 with the bat since June 24th, and need to dig deep today to come away with something.

Johnston v Haverfordwest

Just 20 points off Kilgetty lie Johnston, who themselves face a tough task at Glebelands.

Lee Summons and co will want to ake every point possible against a Haverfordwest side in erratic form since their exit from the Harrison Allen Bowl at the semi final stage.

With their second and third XI both battling the drop, much could rest on how strong a line-up The Town choose to field, while Johnston will again depend heavily on their top order.

Lawrenny v St Ishmaels

Lawrenny have hit form when it mattered, with four wins on the trot pulling them away from relegation danger and towards the top half.

Last week it was Simon Cole who starred with 97 not out as they chased down a seemingly imposing Whitland total.

Tish meanwhile, fell to 91 all out against Neyland, but like Lawrenny, will want to win here for league placings as much as anything, with just two points separating the pair in sixth and seventh.

Neyland v Pembroke

It's been a hapless season for Pembroke, now already relegated back to the second tier.

Neyland are finishing their campaign with a flurry, and the visitors are unlikely to get a first win of the summer at the Athletic Ground.

Whitland v Carew

A huge game for The Rooks.

Should they come through this, they will play Cresselly on the final day with the title right in the grasp, and may yet be already champions by then.

Carew have formed a solid collective unit all summer, and I expect them to be right on their game against a Whitland side with defeats in their last two league games.

Having said that, Iestyn Scourfield and co are more than capable of spoiling the party.
