A 52-year-old woman is in Withybush Hospital following a knife attack at her home in Pembroke Dock during the early hours of this morning, (Tuesday).
The incident occurred shortly before 3.59am at the woman's house in Charles Thomas Avenue, Pembroke Dock. Dyfed-Powys police said that the woman sustained several knife wounds during the attack.
The woman was conveyed to Withybush where her condition is described as stable.
Dyfed-Powys police confirmed that after the attack, a 55-year-old man was found by police officers in a field a short distance away from the house. He had also sustianed knife wounds and has been conveyed to Withybush Hospital.
A Welsh Ambulance Spokesman said:
"We answered a call from ther police to a house on Charles Thomas Avenue, Pembroke Dock, at 3.59 this morning and we had an ambulance on the scene within four minutes.
"We subsequently sent a second ambulance and we took two patients, a 52-year-old woman and a 55-year-old man to Withybush Hospital with knife wounds."
Police have set up an incident room at Pembroke Dock police station. They are currently continuing enquiries into the incident and can confirm that no other person is being sought in connection with this matter.
