Llandeilo shop shortlisted for Welsh retail award

The Little Welsh Dresser in Llandeilo has been shortlisted in the 'Bespoke Retailer of the Year' category in the first ever Welsh Independent Retail Awards.

The Little Welsh Dresser will find out if they will be crowned winners an elegant ceremony taking place next month.

Benedict Vaughan-Morris who owns The Little Welsh Dresser is thrilled to have made it to the final.

He said: "We were so excited to find out that we'd made it to the final.

"The last three years have been amazing, and it's been so special to run a shop in the same premises that my family had a tobacconists dating back to the early 1900's.

"The award ceremony feels like a great opportunity to celebrate the hard work that we've put in to the shop."

The Welsh Independent Retail Awards recognises the value of independent retailers to the communities and the country they operate in and showcase the diversity within the industry.

The awards recognise and reward the entrepreneurial spirit and business initiative which lies behind the thriving Welsh independent retailers.

Based on a public vote, the awards commend the talented individuals and businesses dedicated to constantly delivering impeccable service in a friendly atmosphere.

The awards will be presented to the most deserving professionals and businesses in the field, including Health and Lifestyle Retailer of the Year, Furniture Retailer of the Year, Off License of the Year, Pharmacy of the Year and many more.

The black tie event will be held at the Marriott Hotel in Cardiff on Tuesday, September 12.
