PIZZA giant Domino's has not closed the lid on its proposals to gain a slice of Pembrokeshire trade.

The company has now lodged an appeal against a planning decision to turn down their application for a restaurant and takeaway in Tenby's South Parade.

The plan was rejected by the Pembrokeshire Coast National Park Authority's development management committee last month.

The authority has now confirmed that Domino's UK & Ireland has submitted an appeal against the refusal for change of use from Class A1 (retail) to Class A3 (hot food takeaway) at the newly-built units in South Parade, which are close to both Tenby's war memorial and the historic town walls.

The Planning Inspectorate has written to the applicant to propose holding a hearing into the appeal on a date in December at a venue to be confirmed.
