EMERGENCY services were launched last night, October 7, following reports of a missing woman near Trevine, north Pembrokeshire.
Police, coastguard, and St Davids lifeboat were involved in the search for the young woman.
Tasked to this incident were H M coastguard rescue teams from St Davids and Fishguard together with Dyfed Powys Police officers.
St Davids lifeboat was launched at 8.40pm.
The lifeboat carried out a shoreline search between Porthgain harbour and Abercastle, using search lights, night vision goggles and FLIR (forward looking infrared) camera.
Shortly afterwards a message was received, that the teenage girl had been found safe by coastguards, near Trevine and she was being conveyed to hospital for treatment.
A spokesman for the RNLI said: “St Davids lifeboat was out for an hour-and-a-half before returning to base; the initial shout was someone was in the water, fortunately she was found walking along the cliffs.”
Fishguard police later said on Twitter: "Lost person in the Trevine area last night was found safe and well thanks to joint efforts between police, coastguard and RNLI."
