THE death has occurred in Australia on September 26 of Jane Coole (nee Llewellin), aged 84.

She was the daughter of Major George and Mrs Audrey Llewellin, Red Hill, Haverfordwest and the widow of John Coole.

They had farmed first at Cleddau, Camrose, then in Llanwnda, Fishguard.

In 1967 the family went out to Australia with their six children. Later they had two more children.

The family made a great success of farming, pegging out new land and ending up with a number of farms.

Jane, on leaving school, worked first in Haverfordwest Library and later for her father in the Churnworks.

She is survived by her eight children and numerous grandchildren and greatgrandchildren.

Carmarthen

Formerly of Dinas

SUDDENLY but peacefully on March 13, Phyllis of Cambrian Court, Carmarthen and formerly from Garn - Gron, Dinas passed away at Glangwili Hospital Carmarthen.

The funeral was held on March 22 at Gideon Chapel, Dinas Cross where she had been a lifelong member, where a large gathering of relatives and friends were present to pay their last respects.

The chief mourners were Lonwen and Penry (daughter and son-in-law); Mari and Bill (granddaughter and partner); Lucy, Danielle and James (great grandchildren).

The service was officiated by her minister Rev Ken Thomas and was assisted by Rev Alwyn Daniels.

Apologies were received by Rev. Hywel Mudd.

Interment was at Caersalem Chapel, Cilgwyn Newport.

There were immediate family flowers only.

Donations in lieu of flowers for Gideon Chapel Cemetery were gratefully received by Mrs Eirian Edwards, of Dinas.

The funeral arrangements were carried out by Mr Peris Rice, Funeral Director, Carmarthen.

Mrs P J McCanch

Formerly of Hubberston and St Ishmaels

PAMELA Jean McCanch, of Hubberston and St Ishmael’s passed away peacefully at the Ashdale Care Home, Pembroke on October 1 after a prolonged illness.

The widow of Frederick James McCanch, she is remembered by her many friends and family in the county and throughout South Wales, including son and daughter, Norman and Nina, son-in-law Royden and two grandchildren, Karis and Ellis.

The funeral took place at Parc Gwyn Crematorium, Narberth on October 7 and was well attended by many who remembered her fondly.

The family asked for donations to Ashdale Residential & Nursing Home, Golden Lane, Pembroke, in lieu of flowers.
