A HAVERFORDWEST church has presented a cheque for more than £600 to a charity which aims to support people in rural areas with mental health issues.

Emma Picton-Jones of the DPJ Foundation was presented a cheque by £626 was presented by Rev Jonathan Kirk of Ebenezer Presbyterian Church at a coffee evening on Wednesday, October 11.

Emma gave a detailed and passionate talk and slide show giving the history of the Foundation, started to help address mental health in the farming community.

Her talk covered all aspects including aims, fund raising efforts and progress to date.

After the presentation the church community enjoyed a chat over coffee and cakes.

The DPJ Foundation aims to support people working in the agricultural industry or living in rural areas with any mental health issues they may have.

It works to train people who have contact with farmers and others living and working in isolation to recognise mental health difficulties they may be having and help them.
