A multi-million pound apartment development on the sea view site of an historic Tenby building has achieved record-breaking sales.

The 14 two and three-bedroom apartments, overlooking the South Beach, are priced between £360,000 and £600,000 and have all been reserved since last Christmas.

The development, 51◦ Latitude, in Battery Road, is constructed on land which has been occupied by a building since the early 19th century.

It was originally built as the Tenby rectory, and latterly had been the Kinloch Court Hotel. This was renovated and restored and incorporated into the design of the luxury development.

Virtual reality viewings helped achieve the off-plan sales for the apartments, which have now been completed.

They have been constructed by Waterstone Homes - part of the Jehu Group of Companies - with the help of £2.9m worth of finance from the Principality Building Society.

The funding was part of an £8m loan package provided to Waterstone Homes, the remainder of which is being put towards the company's development of 12 four-bedroomed homes at Ogmore-by-Sea in the Vale of Glamorgan.

Said Andrea Gardner, sales and marketing director at Waterstone Homes: "After months of hard work and sensitive planning considerations, it's a proud moment for the Waterstone Homes team to unveil our completed Tenby apartments and see our ambitious plans come to fruition.

"Despite having a higher asking price than the majority of other new apartments available in the region, our sales success in Tenby goes to show that the high-quality design and prime locations that we strive to achieve for all our developments is of huge importance to customers in today's market."
