A JEALOUS man who attacked his partner after seeing her talking to another man inside a Saundersfoot nightclub has been jailed for nine months today, November 30.

Lawrence Goldsworthy, 28, admitted assaulting Natalie Hague causing her actual bodily harm.

Swansea crown court heard it was the second time Goldsworthy had beaten up a partner.

John Hipkin, prosecuting, said Goldsworthy and Miss Hague had been on holiday in Tenby.

On August 27 he sent "much" of the day drinking in the town and in the evening the couple went to Sands nightclub in Saundersfoot.

Goldsworthy, of Caravan 2, Rumgrumly Farm, Yerbeston, near Narberth, began talking to some friends and noticed that another man had struck up a conversation with Miss Hague.

An argument broke and out and she asked to leave.

The idea, said Mr Hipkin, was that they would spend the night at Goldsworthy's father's home nearby.

Miss Hague became afraid of Goldsworthy and locked herself inside her car. But he appeared to calm down and she opened the doors.

But almost immediately Goldsworthy, a professional E-bay seller, flew into a rage and punched her several times to her face and yanked her head backwards before running off.

Miss Hague telephoned her son who called and police and Goldsworthy was arrested shortly afterwards.

Miss Hague suffered black eyes, cuts and bruising.

Judge Philip Harris-Jenkins told Goldsworthy: "This was an unsavoury incident which led to some nasty injuries. This was not the first time you had assaulted a partner."

Judge Harris-Jenkins issued a restraining order preventing Goldsworthy from contacting Miss Hague for the next five years.
