PARTS of Pembrokeshire woke up to a blanket of snow this morning.

While parts of the UK have ground to a halt, with main roads blocked and many flights cancelled, the roads around the county remain clear.

Temperatures of -1 degrees are forecast to continue in Crymych this afternoon, while Haverfordwest will drop to 1 degrees, and Fishguard and Milford Haven are expected to hover around the 3 degrees mark.

Light snow showers are predicted in other parts of the county this evening.

Elsewhere in Wales, up to 11 inches of snow has been recorded, and police have advised motorists not to travel unless necessary.

Mid and West Wales Fire and Rescue Service, which covers Pembrokeshire, issued this advice this morning: "With wintry conditions forecast this afternoon, please ensure you take care on the roads.

"Conditions may be tricky, so alter driving to suit."
