AN ART project which worked to improve wellbeing has been celebrated at a film screened in Haverfordwest, documenting the experiences of those who took part.

The Art of Wellbeing project was celebrated with a film screening and exhibition of artwork at the Lab, Haverfordwest on Friday, December 8.

The project worked with people from all walks of life including deaf people who use sign language, people with mental health issues and those with autism.

Groups who took part included Pembrokeshire MIND, Pembrokeshire People First, and the Sign and Share club.

Participants had the opportunity to work with clay modelling, drawing techniques and face proportions, and printing techniques.

The film, made by Sharron Harris, asked what the benefits of creativity were, if arts contribute to wellbeing, and what an arts and wellbeing service might look like.

Pip Lewis and Guy Norman of spacetocreate led the project, and were joined by project participants as well as Eluned Morgan AM, and members of Haverfordwest town council at the exhibition.

There are now plans to take the exhibition to the Senedd next year.
