LOVERS of good food who want to source the freshest, tastiest Christmas produce, should make sure to head to the Christmas farmers’ markets in Haverfordwest for their festive fare.

The Christmas markets at Haverfordwest Farmers Market (held on the Riverside) will take place on Friday December 15 and 22 between 9am and 2pm, one has already taken place on Friday, December 8.

You can pre-order a local Christmas turkey for collection closer to the big day, as well as plenty of other meats and super-fresh local veggies – helping you to avoid last-minute supermarket queues and the race for the last of the sprouts!

Stallholders will have lots of other delicious festive treats too – from home-made mince pies, Christmas cakes and puddings to ribs of beef, chipolatas, winter-flowering bulbs and plants, holly and mistletoe, and much more.

“We all want to enjoy great food at Christmas, and shopping at your local farmers’ market is one of the easiest ways to make sure your meal is as delicious as possible,” said Joe Welch, market manager and Food Officer for Pembrokeshire County Council.

“It’s great to know that you’re supporting local producers as well as sourcing some of the very best local produce available.”

Most stallholders will take pre-orders. For more details on the Christmas markets please view facebook.com/Haverfordwestfarmersmarket
