CLOTHING retailer New Look has said it will not comment on whether its Pembrokeshire stores are to close.

The fashion brand, which has stores across the UK, has branches in Haverfordwest, Tenby and Carmarthen.

A spokesman for New Look said the firm would not comment on "speculation".

Sky News has reported the chain is drawing up proposals for a Company Voluntary Arrangement (CVA), a process often used by struggling retailers to restructure financial obligations to creditors.

Sources said the plans were not finalised, but if closures did go ahead then 60 stores nationwide could close.

The news follows dwindling sales and a "challenging" retail environment.
