POLICE and firefighters were called to Pembroke Dock’s derelict Commodore Hotel on Wednesday, January 10, after attempts were made to enter it.
Pembroke Dock firefighters were called at 11.30am at the request of police to cut down ropes used to gain access, while police are reminding people to stay clear from the site as it could cause serious harm.
The former ‘Commodore’ was badly damaged by fire in 2006, and has stood empty since.
In 2014, plans were put forward to transform a stable block at the back of the hotel into five self-contained maisonettes, and approval was given for the building of 22 flats and four town houses.
It was recently placed back on the market as a long leasehold through Allsop auctioneers but was later withdrawn.
