A flippin' great time in the sunshine was enjoyed by large crowds who turned out for Tenby's annual RNLI pancake race today (Tuesday).

Competitors of all ages sprinted up Tudor Square, frying pans in hands, in a series of contests for all age groups.

There was a particularly keen challenge in the race for Tenby RNLI crew, who took to the course in full sea-going kit.

Tenby's mayor, Councillor Sue Lane, was on hand to send the runners on their way and to present prizes.

The event - now in its eighth year - was followed by a two-course pancake lunch at the Baytree restaurant, and all proceeds for the day will go to Tenby RNLI.
