CURRYS have opened the doors to their new Haverfordwest store with a visit from the town mayor.
The new technology store on the Springfield Retail Estate opened at 9am this morning (February 23), with a ceremonial ribbon cutting by Cllr Alan Buckfield, mayor of Haverfordwest.
Plans to move Currys from their old building on the Bridge Meadow near Morrisons have been in the works for a few years.
The move has meant the national chain of electronics retailers are now able to employ 27 people in Haverfordwest, up from 19 in their former shop.
Two members of staff who worked at the town’s original Currys on Bridge Street, as well at the Bridge Meadow store were present to see the new shop opening, Simon Coombes and David Roberts.
