TWO boys were rescued from a cave in a joint effort by RNLI and Coastguard teams yesterday (Tuesday).
At 2.40pm both St Davids RNLI all-weather and inshore lifeboats, launched on service following a report of a boy who had fallen from cliffs near Porthgain.
Once on scene it was discovered that a second boy had also got into difficulties on the cliff and both were stranded in a cave.
Due to sea conditions it was decided it would be safer to recover the boys up the cliff.
Coastguard teams from St Davids and Fishguard brought the boys safely to the top of the cliff while both lifeboats stood by to give safety cover.
The boys did not require any medical assistance, and both lifeboats returned to station.
