A helicopter spotted hovering low across Haverfordwest in the early hours of yesterday (Thursday) morning was assisting in finding a vulnerable woman.
The Western Telegraph was contacted by several people who said they were woken up at about 4.30am on Thursday morning as the helicopter seemed to base its search around Freemens Way, Merlins Bridge, and near Pembrokeshire College.
A Dyfed-Powys Police spokesman told the Western Telegraph: "The NPAS (National Police Air Service) helicopter was assisting in the search for a vulnerable woman.
"The incident was reported to police at 2.30am.
"She was located around 5am and detained under section 136 of the Mental Health Act."
Section 136 gives police the power to remove someone from a public place to a place of safety.
