IT'S bra-vo to Girlguiding members who have helped to say pants to poverty. The girls from Saundersfoot's 1st St Issell's Guides were challenged to collect bras and ladies and children's pants for Smalls for All, a registered charity working specificially for women and young girls in Africa. Charity supporter Charlotte McAllister of Pleasant Valley was delighted with the response from the Guides and their leaders. "I heard about Smalls for All and thought it would be something I could organise a collection for locally," she explained. "The Guides were really enthusiastic, and have already helped collect five kilogrammes of bras and pants! The charity realises that underwear is a luxury that some people can't afford. Added Charlotte: "Giving pants and bras may seem like a small thing, but it can make a huge difference. For example, not having underwear can mean young girls missing days off school each month. "If anyone in the area would like to show their support to this great charity, simply pop to the shop and pick up some new pants - ladies sizes eight-16 and children's age three-15 - or raid your bra drawer for new or 'gently worn' bras, and drop them off at Saundersfoot's Regency Hall before Friday May 11."
