THE RNLI launched from St Davids this bank holiday to rescue a woman from Ramsey Island who had injured her leg.
On Monday, May 7 St Davids RNLI all-weather lifeboat and inshore lifeboat launched on service to a lady with a suspected broken ankle on Ramsey Island.
The ALB also took St Davids Coastguard team with them to the island, where they were met by Greg and Lisa, the wardens of Ramsey Island, who assisted with transporting the equipment to the location of the casualty.
The woman was then carried by stretcher over a mile back to the harbour, where she was transferred on to the lifeboats and taken back to St Justinians.
When on the mainland, a family member took her to Withybush Hospital for treatment.
