Police followed their noses to Class B drugs after they were alerted to a noisy Haverfordwest party.
Brendan Elliot Thomas, of Heol Llanelli, Pontyates, pleaded guilty to possession of cannabis when he appeared before Haverfordwest magistrates on Tuesday, May 8.
Sian Vaughan, prosecuting, told the bench that police attended a house party in Haverfordwest on February 11, which had become a ‘little noisy’.
The officers made enquiries after smelling cannabis, and Thomas, 25, volunteered that he had 38g of the drugs in his bag.
Craig Davies, defending, said Thomas made full admissions to officers who arrived at his friend’s party.
“He accepted that the drugs were his, and they were for his own personal use.”
Magistrates fined Thomas £80 and ordered him to pay £85 court costs and a £30 surcharge.
A destruction order was made for the seized drugs.
