ST DAVIDS lifeboat crew launched last weekend to calls of abandoned fishing gear at a cliff area.
On Sunday, May 27 at 4.15pm St Davids RNLI inshore launched, following the discovery of abandoned fishing tackle at the base of the cliff near Porthclais harbour.
Also dispatched to this incident were the local coastguard team from St Davids.
The lifeboat commenced a search from Porthclais towards Caerfai bay, in the meantime coastguards made enquiries at the local camp and discovered the owner of the fishing gear, who had set it up to go fishing.
With this information all units were stood down, with the lifeboat returning to station.
