WOULD you like a chance to spend some time on the seas around Pembrokeshire? The national park may have just the day out for you.

If you’ve ever wanted to view the Pembrokeshire coast from the sea or learn more about marine wildlife and the area’s maritime heritage, chart a course for the Pembrokeshire Coast National Park Authority’s Year of the Sea boat trip.

The Park Authority has teamed up with Dale Sailing to organise this special voyage from 11am-3pm on Tuesday, June 5, travelling through Milford Haven before heading out to sea.

National Park Authority Volunteer and Events Co-ordinator, Gayle Lister said: “This boat trip will be led by some of our dedicated volunteers, who have detailed knowledge of the Pembrokeshire Coast and everything that makes it special.

“Come and hear the stories of the people who live and work on and around the sea, learn about the birds and marine wildlife, discover the history and the present day shipping in Milford Haven and see the amazing coastal scenery from a unique viewpoint.”

Tickets are £30 per person with the boat trip departing from Milford Haven Marina’s Mackerel Quay.

You will need to bring a packed lunch, drinks, warm clothing and waterproofs. You may also want to bring a camera and binoculars.

There is a toilet on board the vessel.

Booking is essential. To reserve your place call 01437 720392.

Please note Thursday, June 7 will be a backup date if weather prevents sailing on 5 June.

You need to available for both dates. If weather prevents sailing on both days, a full refund will be issued.
