A MANORBIER catering business, has raised £1,000 in aid of a Pembrokeshire hospice at home charity.

Alfresco Catering from Castlemead Hotel, Manorbier, was proud to supply the catering aptly named Punch & Munch at the ‘That’ll be the Day’ concert at Folly Farm in December 2017 to raise vital funds for Paul Sartori Hospice at Home.

Punch & Munch was given its name as Lorna Greasley of and her staff from Alfresco Catering served hungry concert goers with a warm Pimms Punch, a Turkey cranberry and stuffing roll followed by a warm mince pie.

For Lorna, there was a personal reason for supporting Paul Sartori.

“We have been wanting to give something back to Paul Sartori in recognition of the support they gave us as a family over the last days of Geoff's life. During the last 20 years Alfresco in conjunction with Phil [chairman of the Board of Trustees at Paul Sartori] has fed thousands of people at various events at Folly Farm and so this felt a very fitting way of raising money for this amazing charity.”

Toni Dorkings, community fundraiser at Paul Sartori added: “It was a wonderful two days at Folly Farm and everyone appreciated the food prior to the show starting.

“It is humbling to see the different ways individuals and businesses support Paul Sartori Hospice at Home, and we are grateful to Lorna and her team in raising £1,000 - it is absolutely fantastic.

“We are also looking forward to the next event which will be held in Manorbier Castle and the Castlemead Hotel a ‘1940s afternoon tea’ on Sunday September 30.”
