COASTGUARD rescue teams worked with paramedics to airlift a woman from Bullslaughter Bay this morning (Sunday, July 22).
At 11.50am, Tenby coastguard rescue team along with St Govan coastguard rescue team were paged to assist the Welsh Ambulance Service with a medical evacuation from the bay, near St Govans.
The casualty was assessed on scene by paramedics and due to the nature of their injuries, the Coastguard Rescue Helicopter 187 was called to airlift the casualty to hospital.
The helicopter landed at Bullslaughter Bay and coastguard crew transferred the casualty via stretcher to the helicopter.
The casualty was then taken to Withybush Hospital for further medical assistance and teams stood down.
A Welsh Ambulance Service spokesperson said: "We responded with two emergency ambulances and an air ambulance, where a female patient was taken by road ambulance to Withybush Hospital, Haverfordwest.”
