The Met Office is issuing a yellow warning for thunderstorms in Pembrokeshire this afternoon going into this evening.

The office says that, while many areas will remain dry, there is a chance that some heavy, thundery downpours will break out this afternoon and evening up to 10pm.

Where these do occur as much as 20 to 30 mm of rain could fall in an hour, or 40 mm in two to three hours.

The Met Office says there is a small chance that homes and businesses could be flooded, causing damage to some buildings.

Where flooding occurs, there is a slight chance of delays or cancellations to train and bus services.

Spray and flooding could lead to difficult driving conditions and some road closures. There is a slight chance that power cuts could occur and other services to some homes and businesses could be lost.

Lightning, hail and gusty winds may also result in some disruption.
