THE PEMBROKESHIRE County Show starts tomorrow, and is jam-packed with something for everyone.

The Pembrokeshire Agricultural Society has been working hard to improve, expand and innovate the three-day show, including a new layout for 2018.

So what should YOU look out for when you visit the showground at Withybush this year?

Headliners: Camels and sheaf throwers

Camels going toe-to-toe.

Top of the bill this year are Joseph’s Amazing Camels, who will be competing in races on the showground throughout the three days.

There will also be the chance to watch or compete in Irish sheaf-throwing competitions, run by a team from Pembrokeshire’s twinned show in Wicklow.

This year will also see the return of robotic milking of cows and the feeding of calves, the new-look Valero Countryside Paddock, farrier demonstrations, classic car displays, skateboarding and indoor go-karting.

In the ring

Judging for the poultry categories took place at the Brithdir Hall last year.

Animals will be taking centre stage in the rings as they go head-to-head for the top honours.

From cattle, pigs, goats and horses to poultry and dog agility competitions, visitors will be able to see some of the country’s finest exhibits.

Sheep exhibitors will now have their own dedicated area.

And don’t forget to watch some of the pulse-racing action in the show jumping arena.

The entire show will culminate in a spectacular grand parade led by steam engine Velfrey Queen, provided by Mason Bros.

For families

The all-new Pembrokeshire Little Farmers’ marquee will host educational competitions next to the perennial favourite – the free family play zone.

Food and drink

There will be a new shopping mall and a higher number of trade stands while the Castell Howell Food Hall finds a new home on the main avenue.

There will also be a new main arena viewing gallery with bar, accessed from main avenue, and there will be a Stockman’s Bar adjacent to the livestock housing compound.

You could win either a TYM, 74 horsepower, turbo Deutz powered T754 tractor or a SEAT Ateca 2.0 FR TDI 150ps at our show stand this year.
