A GROUP of co-workers from a Haverfordwest shop who jumped from a plan together have raised thousands of pounds for charities supporting those who live with dementia.

The eight women from Boots in Haverfordwest all took part in a skydive together from Swansea airport.

Katharine Griffiths, Clare Setford, Rebecca Thomas, Gail Wells, Laura Goodwin, Shellie Walters, Faith Foster and Arabella Grimsby have raised £3,500 by jumping from 50,000ft.

The group will give the money to raised money for the Alzheimer’s Society, a charity which supports those living with dementia and their carers across the country.

“It was an amazing experience and a beautiful day,” said Katharine Griffiths.

“We couldn’t have done this without the support of our customers, friends and families who sponsored us.

“Thank you to Ruth Barclay who has supported us all the way through and even on the day.”

Team Boots also gave their thanks to everyone who donated prizes towards a raffle they held in store before they took the plunge.

These included: Oakwood, Manor Park, Eddies, Celtic Haven, Lamphey spa, Dragon Palace, Folly farm, Caddies cafe, Snippers, Heatherton, South hook, Lost coins, Tesco in Milford Haven, the Chic Beautique, and Bluestone.

The group also did other events to raise money, had buckets instore, a fun day with tombola and cake stall, raffle and an evening with the medium Karen Wilson.

Arabella also organised a quiz night in the Lawrenny Arms.
