A WOMAN is to stand trial accused of brandishing a knife during a violent incident at the Crackwell Holiday Park in Penally, near Tenby.

Leah Evans, aged 34, appeared at Swansea crown court yesterday, August 17, for a plea and trial preparation hearing before Judge Keith Thomas.

Evans denied causing an affray at the park on July 14 of this year, possessing a knife in a public place and assaulting her then-partner Christopher Dean Jenkins by beating.

The court heard that Evans told police she had been protecting herself from a pit bull terrier.

Evans, of Greenwood Road, Neath, will stand trial on November 6 and was granted bail meanwhile.
