A COMMUNITY space is ‘devasted’ after three break-ins in one week, with supplies and alcohol stolen.

Haverhub, a centre for fun and activities in Haverfordwest, had their side door kicked-in earlier this week in the first incident.

In the second “opportunistic kids” entered the property through the unsecured door, but were chased off.

In a Facebook post, a spokesperson said: “Fortunately, they were chased off by one of our fantastic HaverHelpers, but it seems they returned yesterday evening.

“They’ve smashed a window, emptied two fire extinguishers everywhere, helped themselves to our supplies, and generally made a big mess.

“They’ve also stolen at least two cases of prosecco, possibly up to 18 bottles, and a net full of plastic ducks from the duck race.”

In the Facebook post, the spokesperson said that the police are involved and have been checking for forensic evidence.

The spokesperson said that the damage will cost them hundreds of pounds and could have a knock-on effect on their business.

“This doesn’t just hurt us, it affects other local community events too,” the spokesperson added.

“Other organisations rely on us and our building, and the damages and thefts will cost us hundreds of pounds that we can ill afford.

“If anyone would like to volunteer to help us clear up the mess and help to get set up for HaverBeerFest which happens in less than a week, please get in touch. We really need our community.”

If you have any information about the break-in contact the police on 101. If you would like to help the HaverHub with the clean-up message them on Facebook.

A JustGiving page has been set up by HaverHub to help cover the cost of repairs if you would like to donate you can do so here.
