TASTEBUDS were tickled by a smorgasbord of creative cuisines at this weekend's Welsh Street Food festival in Milford Haven.

From mouth-watering Malaysian noodles to perfect pizzas, lip-smackingly good lamb to tempting chocolate brownies, the competition had it all.

Over two days visitors sampled a host of delicious dishes at the waterfront's Mackeral Quay, topped off with thirst-quenching local beers and music.

Winners of the public choice award were Assembelly, set up by Welsh chef Toby Bradley-Watson in April 2018.

Toby grew up on the coast of Pembrokeshire and has a passion for cooking simple, locally-sourced food from scratch.

In second place were Goodfillas, followed by Makasih and The Pod.

Judges' choice went to Paternoster Farm of Hundleton, proving Pembrokeshire has what it takes to compete on the street food scene.

Second place went to Spicers' Meat Wagon, and third place was shared by Assembelly and Makasih.

Organisers said: "It was a fantastic weekend which saw the majority of traders sell out more than once, which is always great.

"The people of Milford Haven were an absolute dream and we all felt incredibly welcome - it was a pleasure to hold this event in this lovely town.

"As the organisers, Street Food Warehouse are so proud to have been involved in this wonderful event and we are already looking forward to next year.

"Thank you to everyone who voted and came down and tried some of the amazing street food there is to offer in Wales."
