BETHESDA dogs day care centre Cotton's Creche recently held a successful event for Guide Dogs Cymru, with more than £500 raised.

On December 1, doors were open for the public and their pooches.

Christmas stalls, Santa Paws, mulled wine and mince pies, and even cake made specially for dogs, courtesy of Nanna Ruby Thomas, were some of the festive contributions.

Branch Secretary for Guide Dogs Cymru, Eva Rich along with guide dog Oyster, attended with their stall together with her colleagues.

After several hours with generous attendees a grand total of £507 was raised for the Guide Dogs.

Annie Thomas, of Cotton's Crèche, said: "We at Cotton's Creche would like to thank everyone for their continued enthusiasm and support and we look forward to our next event in May celebrating the anniversary of our third year of trading."

The members of the Pembrokeshire fundraising Branch of Guide Eva Rich said: “Dogs Cymru wish to say a huge thank you to Annie and all at Cotton’s Dog Crèche for their continued support of much needed money to help with the training of guide dogs, and Oyster also says a big thank you to all the dogs who helped raise such a magnificent sum.”
