Christmas shoppers travelling by train this weekend will need to be prepared to change to buses for part of their journey, because of maintenance work.

Arriva Trains Wales services between Carmarthen and Milford Haven will be replaced by road transport. Buses will call at Whitland, Clunderwen, Clarbeston Road, Haverdfordwest, Johnston and Milford Haven in both directions.

Services between Carmarthen and Pembroke Dock will also be replaced by buses for the weekend, calling at Whitland, Narberth, Kilgetty, Saundersfoot, Tenby, Penally, Manorbier, Lamphey, Pembroke and Pembroke Dock in both directions.

The twice daily services between Carmarthen and Fishguard Harbour is due to be replaced by buses calling at Whitland and Fishguard Harbour in both directions.

Arriva Trains Wales say that the disruption is limited to this weekend and is due to engineering maintenance work on Network Rail tracks.
