Two horses and 25 dogs were freed from an animal transporter last night (Wednesday), following a road traffic collision on the A4075.

The two vehicle collision occurred on the Creswell Quay junction between Carew and Cresselly at 4.55 yesterday evening.

Fire crews from Pembroke Dock, Narberth and Haverfordwest attended the scene and freed the menagerie from the overturned carrier, believed to have been transporting animals for the south Pembrokeshire hunt.

A vet was in attendance and checked the animals over.
